Week 7 Famous Last Words

So the semester is officially half over... which just feels WEIRD. But that's how it always is, I guess, and now things are going to start going even faster. When I decided to participate as a student in the class this semester, I was just going to aim for a C, but I have raised my sights now since I'm on track to get an A. Although if that starts to crumble in the second half of the semester, ha ha, that's okay too. Time: there's only 168 hours in the week. And I like to get a full night's sleep. I'm pretty sleepy right now in fact! :-)

Usually on the weekends I've done a lot of work for the class, but this weekend I did something kind of different: I did work ABOUT the class, because I prepared for my Can*Innovate 2018 presentation.......... about which I am soooooo excited!!! I kind of fooled myself, in a good way, because I was convinced that I had my dry-run with Michelle and her crew this coming week, but it turns out it is not until the next week! But that's actually great: this way I can really have the final version done before I show it to Michelle and everybody. I made a website and a Google Slideshow with slides for student projects and tons of student quotes from the previous evaluations. Next weekend I'll be able to see if there are quotes from the current blog posts that I want to use instead.

And here's the best thing: I made a TAGS for #CanInnovate18 so we have a Twitter widget and I made a Creativity widget. Two new widgets: whoo-hoo! And since they are both embeddable I can embed them here. Making widgets is definitely a good way to spend the weekend. And making a Canvas website.

So, I did not exactly rack up the points for class, ha ha, but I figure it's all good karma.
